Job summary

Salud Family Health Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the Dental Director, Dentists, and Hygienists. You will work chairside, assist with patient care, and help manage reception, inventory, and records.

The role requires radiology certification within program standards, high school diploma, and BLS. Salud offers comprehensive benefits, flexible spending accounts, and pensions, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 8am–5pm hours in the Longmont area.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent is required
• Must be radiology certified through a state-approved radiology program, within the timeframe set by Dental Department standards
• Successful completion of Salud Family Health Center Ladder’s program is required
• Successful achievement of the Registered Dental Assistant Program certification is required
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers from recognized organizations (AHA/ASHI/Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room and maintain the schedule so the team operates efficiently
• Interact with patients before, during and after procedures; assist the dentist chairside
• Support reception, inventory, and records as part of daily duties
• Assist with radiography and documentation in the electronic health record
• Provide high-quality patient care with sensitivity to diverse communities

Job Description

Performs duties that assist the Dental Director, Dentists, and Dental Hygienists in the care and treatment of patients. Performs duties in the field of reception, chairside assisting, inventory, and records.

Qualifications

Experience:

Education:

Licensure/Certification:

Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers from one of the following organizations:

• American Heart Association; American Safety and Health Institute; or American Red Cross

• May be required to travel to other clinics based on staffing shortages
