Job summary

Cornerstone Dentistry in North Carolina is seeking a Dental Assistant who can deliver quality patient care with empathy and professionalism. You will prepare rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, and manage records and payments while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Experience is preferred, and strong communication is essential to build trust with patients and team members in a busy dental practice.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
  • Outstanding professionalism and self-motivation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with coworkers and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment readiness.
  • Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
  • Take and process X-rays of patients and perform lab tasks as instructed.
  • Greet patients, schedule appointments, and advise on oral hygiene.
  • Maintain patient records and assist with payment procedures.

The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures. Whether you are an experienced Dental Assistant, or you are motivated to learn more about the dental industry we would like to tell you more.Dental Assisting Job Responsibilities:Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentistsKnowledge of general anatomy of the mouth and dental termsUnderstanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals and implantsAssisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needsTaking and processing X-rays of patientsPerform lab tasks as instructedGreeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointmentsAdvising patients on recommended oral hygieneMaintaining accurate patient records and assist with payment proceduresStrong communications skills required to deliver oral hygiene and post-operative care instructionsHandling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practiceQualifications:1-2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferredOutstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethicStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with your co-workers and patientsDriven personality to want to strive to be the best in your profession and provide the best care for our patientsCompensation & Benefits:Guaranteed Hourly Rate $23-$25 plus bonusPaid Vacation & Paid Holidays401k Program: with matching contributionsBenefits: (offered at 30 hours or more)Competitive health, dental, and vision planLife Insurance and Disability InsuranceFlexible SchedulesFLSA Status:Non-ExemptWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
