Job summary

Westover Dentistry in Arlington, TX seeks a compassionate Dental Assistant to support the Dentist during procedures, prep rooms, take X-rays, and help with patient records and scheduling.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, excellent communication, and a professional, self-motivated work ethic to deliver best-in-class care to every patient.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Dental Assisting experience.
  • Outstanding professionalism and self-motivation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
  • Take and process X-rays of patients.
  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment is ready for dentists.
  • Greet patients and schedule appointments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
  • Advise patients on oral hygiene and care after procedures.

The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures. Whether you are an experienced Dental Assistant, or you are motivated to learn more about the dental industry we would like to tell you more.Dental Assisting Job Responsibilities:$23-$26/hr depending on experiencePreparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentistsKnowledge of general anatomy of the mouth and dental termsUnderstanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals and implantsAssisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needsTaking and processing X-rays of patientsPerform lab tasks as instructedGreeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointmentsAdvising patients on recommended oral hygieneMaintaining accurate patient records and assist with payment proceduresStrong communications skills required to deliver oral hygiene and post-operative care instructionsHandling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practiceQualifications:2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferredOutstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethicStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with your co-workers and patientsDriven personality to want to strive to be the best in your profession and provide the best care for our patientsCompensation & Benefits:Guaranteed Hourly RatePaid Vacation & Paid Holidays401k Program: with matching contributionsBenefits: (offered at 30 hours or more)Competitive health, dental, and vision planLife Insurance and Disability InsuranceFlexible Schedules#SponsorDAFLSA Status:Non-ExemptWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
