Affordable-Dental-Solutions in Reading, PA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist during a range of procedures. You will prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist with instruments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of dental assisting experience, strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication to build trust with patients and co-workers. You will also take X-rays, maintain records, and assist with payments.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mouth anatomy and dental terminology.
  • Experience taking and processing dental X-rays.
  • Ability to maintain patient records and assist with payments.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentists.
  • Assisting dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
  • Taking and processing X-rays of patients.
  • Greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
  • Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with payment procedures.
  • Handling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice.
