Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Dental Assistant at Whiteman AFB, MO. Monday–Friday hours with benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications include CODA-accredited training or military/dental tech schooling with relevant radiography certification and 12 months experience in the past 36 months, plus additional radiography training requirements.

Qualifications

• CODA-accredited program with 12 months experience within 36 months.
• Military dental technician/assistant school certification with 12 months exp in 36 months.
• Red Cross Dental Assistant course with 12 months exp in 36 months.
• 36 months dental assistant experience in private practice or military clinic, within 60 months.
• Member in good standing with the American Association of Dental Assistants with 12 months exp in 36 months.
• Graduation from a state-accredited dental assistant/dental technology program within 12 months.
• Training includes radiation physics, radiation biology, health/safety, X-ray processing.
• Must be certified as a Dental Radiographer, or transcripts documenting X-ray training.
• Must have 6 months experience as a Dental Assistant after graduation.

Job Requirements

• Certificate or Associate Degree as a dental assistant/technician from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) and 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months OR
• Certification from a military dental technician or dental assistant school and 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months OR
• Certification from a Red Cross Dental Assistant course and 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months OR
• 36 months experience within the preceding 60 months as a dental assistant in a private practice or a military clinic OR
• Membership in good standing with the American Association of Dental Assistant with required continuing education and 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months OR
• Graduation from a state accredited program for dental assistants or dental technology within the preceding 12 months
• All training must have included a course in radiation physics; radiation biology; radiation health, safety and protection; X-ray films and radiographic film qualify; radiographic techniques; darkroom and processing techniques; film mounting and digital radiographic processing techniques (Completion of a military dental technician or dental assistant 'A' school will fulfill this requirement. Similarly, Dental Assistant program transcripts documenting dental X-ray training will also suffice)
• In addition to one of the above requirements:
• Must be certified as a Dental Radiographer (Completion of a military dental technician or dental assistant 'A' school will fulfill this requirement. Similarly, Dental Assistant program transcripts documenting dental X-ray training will also suffice)
• Must have 6 months expereince as a Dental Assistant after graduation
