Gentle Dental of Haverford is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in Haverford, PA. The role focuses on preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting dentists during procedures to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• One year or more on-the-job experience.
• X-Ray certification required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
