Job summary

Roman Shlafer DDS PLLC is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our patient-first practice in Farmington Hills, MI. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, patience, quick thinking, and a genuine willingness to help others while assisting the dentist during procedures.

You will prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, take and process X-rays, maintain patient records, greet patients, advise on oral hygiene, and assist with payments.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
• Outstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with patients and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment is ready for dentists.
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Take and process X-rays of patients; perform lab tasks as instructed.
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and advise on oral hygiene.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
• Handle general administrative duties to maintain the dental practice.

The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
