Job summary

Silver Spring Dental Studio in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Dental Assistant who can support clinicians across a variety of dental procedures. The ideal candidate brings empathy, patience, and strong communication, with a willingness to help and build trusting patient relationships.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, sterilizing equipment, taking X-rays, assisting during procedures, greeting patients, and maintaining records. Maryland X-Ray license and DANB certificate are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
• Maryland X-Ray License and DANB Radiology Certificate required.
• Excellent communication and patient-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ready equipment.
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Take and process patient X-rays and perform lab tasks as instructed.
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and advise on oral hygiene.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payments.

The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
