Job summary

Drs. Grant & Conger in Dalton, GA seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to support the clinical team. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and assist dentists during procedures, while educating patients on oral care.

Qualifications

• One year or more on-the-job experience in dental assisting.
• Registered Dental Assistant is required.
• X-Ray certification is required; Nitrous oxide certification is recommended.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in emergencies with CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and contact directory.
