Job summary

Wexford Health Sources is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental care at NH State Prison for Men in Concord, NH. The role involves chair-side assistance, patient prep, and infection control in a busy clinical setting.

You will help set up treatment areas, process intra-oral X-rays, maintain records, and manage supplies while upholding safety and quality standards. CPR and dental radiology certification are required or in-scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dental Radiology Certification preferred or required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures.
• Prepare patients for treatment and support dental hygiene education.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Set up and break down treatment areas and equipment.
• Take and process intra-oral X-rays as permitted.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the medical record system.
• Manage dental supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Support dental sick calls and emergency screenings.
• Keep the dental clinic clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations.

POSITION: Dental Assistant
SCHEDULE: Full Time 32 hours per week
FACILITY: NH State Prison for Men
LOCATION: Concord, New Hampshire

Position Summary

Working under the supervision of the Dentist, you'll assist in providing dental care while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized clinical environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures
• Preparing patients for treatment and supporting dental hygiene education
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards
• Setting up and breaking down treatment areas and equipment
• Taking and processing intra-oral x-rays as permitted
• Maintaining accurate patient records within the medical record system
• Managing dental supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance
• Supporting dental sick call and emergency screenings
• Ensuring the dental clinic remains clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations

What You’ll Need

• High School diploma or GED required
