Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide chair-side support under the Dentist, ensuring safe, clean, and organized clinical spaces. You will assist during exams, prepare patients, sterilize equipment, and manage records and supplies to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes patient care, education, and a team-based environment. The clinic operates at NHDOC facilities in Concord, NH, with a focus on high-quality care and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

  • CPR certification is required.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
  • Dental radiology certification is required or included in above certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for treatment and support dental hygiene education.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
  • Set up and break down treatment areas and equipment.
  • Take and process intra-oral x-rays as permitted.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the medical record system.
  • Manage dental supplies, inventory and equipment maintenance.
  • Support dental sick calls and emergency screenings.
  • Ensure the clinic remains clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations.

Position Summary

Working under the supervision of the Dentist, you'll assist in providing dental care while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized clinical environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the dentist chair-side during exams and procedures
  • Preparing patients for treatment and supporting dental hygiene education
  • Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards
  • Setting up and breaking down treatment areas and equipment
  • Taking and processing intra-oral x-rays as permitted
  • Maintaining accurate patient records within the medical record system
  • Managing dental supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance
  • Supporting dental sick call and emergency screenings
  • Ensuring the dental clinic remains clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations

What You'll Need
  • DentalRadiology Certification (if not included in above certification)
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a dental setting preferred
  • CPR certification required
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records a plus
