Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a full-time dental assistant at the Otero County Processing Medical in Chaparral, NM. You will assist the dentist, prepare patients, sterilize instruments, and manage appointment schedules while maintaining patient records with confidentiality.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 6 months of dental assistant experience or NM/compact-state certification, CPR certification, and a dental radiology certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six months clinical dental assistant experience, current certification, or registration as a dental assistant in NM or compact state, and current certification in dental radiological procedures
• Must possess current CPR certification. 30 hours of continuing education required during each triennial renewal cycle.
• Valid driver’s license in New Mexico or Texas with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in performing services by preparing patients in chair and handling required instruments, equipment, and dental plastics
• Sterilize instruments and keep the office stocked with required supplies
• Arrange and maintain appointment schedule
• Keep records of patients; maintain security and confidentiality of all medical records per HIPPA rules

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Six (6) months clinical dental assistant experience, current certification, or registration as a dental assistant in NM or compact state

Current CPR certification

Current certification in dental radiological procedures

Valid driver’s license in NM or TX with acceptable driving record

Job Description

Pay: $18.41 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
