Job summary

North American Dental Group and Refresh Dental–Center Line, MI are seeking a Dental Assistant to join the team. You will support dentists and hygienists, prepare patients for procedures, and maintain high standards of infection control and patient care.

The role requires a DA certification, radiography credentials, CPR, and proficiency with MS Office while offering a full-time schedule and benefits. Join a collaborative practice within NADG.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant is required.
  • 1–5 years of clinical experience preferred, new grads welcome.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification required (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists.
  • Chart patient health histories and document under dentist direction.
  • Set up trays and instruments per daily schedule.
  • Sterilize/disinfect instruments and maintain asepsis per OSHA.
  • Assist with radiographs and ensure safety/compliance.

Your Work Schedule
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:15am-5:00pm
  • Fridays As Needed: 8:00am-3:00pm
Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
  • Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
