Job summary

Refresh Dental in Rochester, MI, is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our patient-first team. You’ll provide outstanding clinical support, prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and help maintain a clean, efficient operatory.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with early mornings and a $500 sign-on bonus, plus benefits and opportunities for growth within the North American Dental Group network.

Qualifications

• Certification or on-the-job training accepted.
• 1–5 years experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific) required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting and setup/cleanup.
• Record and review patient health histories and document under the dentist's direction.
• Set up trays and instruments according to daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including radiographs exposure and development.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and other safety certifications.

• Tuesday: 7:45am-5pm
• Wednesday: 7:45am-5pm
• Thursday: 7:45am-5pm
• Friday: 7:45am-2pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
