Job summary

North American Dental Group - Southfield, MI is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. You will provide comprehensive chair-side support, prepare patients for treatment, assist dentists during procedures, and uphold high standards of infection control and documentation.

The role requires a Dental Assisting Certification and CPR, with state radiography certification preferred. New graduates are welcome, and a supportive practice environment awaits, including opportunities

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule

Monday-Thursday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Friday: 8:45am-3:00pm

Your Role as a Dental AssistantAs a Dental Assistant, you’ll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You’ll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
