Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to our dental practice. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist, maintain a clean and organized operatory, handle dental equipment, and interact professionally with patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the dentist chairside utilizing the principles of four-handed dentistry.
  2. Seat and dismiss patients, ensuring cleanliness in the operatory and dental laboratory using approved disinfectants.
  3. Maintain dental equipment according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
  4. Clean and sterilize dental instruments, take and process radiographs.
  5. Manage inventory of dental supplies.
  6. Perform clerical tasks including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and utilizing computerized patient information systems.
  7. Provide professional and supportive interactions with patients.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma.
  2. Previous experience in a dental office.
  3. Capable of performing physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.

Additional Qualifications Preferred:

  1. Certification as a Dental Assistant (e.g., recognized Registered Dental Assistant certification).

Compensation:

  1. Hourly rate: $18.78 - $22.46 for Certified Dental Assistants.
  2. Hourly rate: $17.78 - $21.46 for candidates without certification.
