Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant for our Bryan, OH location. You will provide chair-side clinical support, prepare patients for treatment and assist dentists in restorative procedures while maintaining high standards of asepsis and patient care.

The role includes charting, radiography, and ensuring OSHA/HIPAA compliance. Experience of 1–5 years is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Certification or on-the-job training is required.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific) and CPR certification are required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite is expected.
  • 1–5 years of experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists.
  • Record and review patient health histories; document under dentist direction.
  • Set up trays and instruments; prepare patients for procedures.
  • Sterilize/disinfect instruments and maintain asepsis per OSHA.
  • Assist with radiographs (exposure and development).
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule

Monday: 7:45am-7pm

Tuesday: 7:45am-5pm

Wednesday: 7:45am-5pm

Thursday: 7:45am-5pm

Every other Friday: 7:45am-2pm

Your Role as a Dental AssistantAs a Dental Assistant, you’ll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You’ll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
  • Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
