Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant for Convenient Family Dentistry in Burton, MI. You will support the clinical team, prepare patients, and assist the dentist in restorative procedures while maintaining a clean, organized operatory.

Ideal candidates have a Dental Assisting Certification or on-the-job training, radiography certification, CPR, and proficiency with MS Office. New graduates are welcome; 1-5 years' experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists; assist with restorations.
  • Record and review patient histories; document entries under supervision.
  • Set up trays and instruments according to daily schedule and procedures.
  • Prepare patients; sterilize/disinfect instruments and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
  • Assist with radiographs (exposing and developing).
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule
  • Monday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-3:00pm
Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
  • Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
