Emerald West Dental Boise is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists with chairside assistance, radiography, patient education, and administrative tasks in a busy Boise office.

You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, maintain records, and help manage scheduling and patient comfort. Radiography and CPR certification are preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency with dental software and office systems.
• Certification in radiography and CPR (as required by state regulations).
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Assist the dentist during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Record patient medical histories and treatment information.
• Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Manage patient appointments, billing, and recordkeeping.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols.
