Job summary

Emerald West Dental Boise seeks a full-time dental hygienist to join our patient-centered team in Boise, Idaho. You will provide high-quality preventative and periodontal care, educate patients, and collaborate with dentists and staff to promote optimal oral health.

Qualifications

• RDH licensed in Idaho or Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients and keep them calm during exams and treatment.
• Screen patients with mouth and neck exams and review health history.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and diet impact on oral health.
• Take X-rays and develop radiographs of teeth.
• Sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Support dentist on all aspects of dental care.
• Stay current with developments in dentistry.
• Collect medical and dental histories from patients.
• Chart dental conditions based on observations.
