Emerald West Dental is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists with high-quality patient care, chairside assistance, and efficient workflows in a busy clinic.

You will handle sterilization, take and develop X-rays, manage records, and educate patients, while using dental software to schedule and bill for services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Certification in radiography and CPR (as required by state regulations).
• On-the-job training or prior experience in a dental office is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Assist the dentist during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Record patient medical histories and treatment information.
• Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Manage patient appointments, billing, and recordkeeping.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials.
• Support patient comfort and address any concerns during visits.
