Emerald Waters Dental Care in Fort Walton Beach, FL, is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to support patient care alongside a Heartland Dental supported office. You will take and develop X-rays, organize lab equipment, and assist the dentist with routine and emergency procedures to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role emphasizes excellent patient communication, precise record-keeping, ongoing education, and travel for training as needed.

Qualifications

• Positive and outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal communication and strong patient care skills.
• Superior knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Able to travel for training at least every other month; overnight stays may be required.
• Dental assisting school certificate is a plus; previous dental practice experience is a plus.

Expanded Duties Dental Assistant – EDDA – Dental Assistant

Emerald Waters Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm; schedule will most likely change to Tuesday-Friday in the future.

As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant at a Heartland Dental supported office, you will organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop X-rays and provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients.

Requirements

As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills.

Additional requirements for the Expanded Duties Dental Assistant include:

• Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Good manual dexterity
• Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
• Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight
• Dental assisting school certificate is a plus
• Previous work experience in a dental practice is a plus
