Job summary

Swish Dental is seeking a highly motivated Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our private practice in Texas. The successful candidate will assist dentists, take x-rays, prepare sterilization, and deliver exceptional patient care throughout visits.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Dental Assisting Certificate, Texas RDA license after certification, and CPR/BLS certification. English fluency and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Familiarity with common dental terminology and procedures.
• Willingness to travel to other locations as needed.
• Proficient with computers for scheduling and notes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and patient rooms.
• Provide exceptional patient care throughout their visit.
• Take impressions of patients' teeth.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with patients and staff.
• Maintain a team-first and patient-first mindset.
• Keep up-to-date with dentistry knowledge and skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and patient rooms
• Provide exceptional patient care throughout their visit
• Take impressions of patients' teeth
• Communicate effectively and efficiently
• Maintain a "team first" and "patient first" mentality
• Continuously increase dentistry knowledge and job skills
• Adhere by State, Federal, and local compliance standards

Required Skills and Abilities

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certificate of Completion from a Dental Assisting Course required
• Texas RDA License required after 1+ years of certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position may be required to sit or stand for long periods
• This position may be required to work more than 40 hours per week
• This position is in a clinical studio environment which can be noisy and distracting

• This position may require repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
