Job summary

Brink & White Pediatric Dental Associates in Bartlett, TN, is seeking a dental assistant with strong patient communication and organizational skills to join our pediatric team.

Responsibilities include assisting with pediatric procedures (including general anesthesia), radiography, patient education, and maintaining sterilization and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Thrives in a busy environment and works well in a team.
• Active RDA license in Tennessee and radiography/nitrous oxide/coronal polishing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, including general anesthesia.
• Clean the patient’s teeth.
• Take, expose and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic, etc.).
• Provide hygiene and diet education.
• Take impressions.
• Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms.
• Discuss treatment plans with parents.
• Clean and sterilize instruments.
• Lab work.
• Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization area.
• Infection control and OSHA maintenance.
• Write letters to referrals.

We are seeking an enthusiastic dental assistant with a strong work ethic, excellent communication and patient care skills to join our amazing team! Dental assistants should be well organized with great attention to detail. Prior experience is preferred. Candidates must hold an active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of Tennessee and possess current certifications in radiology, nitrous oxide monitoring, and coronal polishing.
