Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Dental Assistant, Mobile Dental Clinic, Days

Position Highlights:

• Position: Dental Assistant
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights
• Full Time: 40 hours/week
• Hours: Monday-Friday, Days

What you will do:

Reporting to the Mobile Dental Clinic Manager, you will perform various duties to assist the Clinical Director and Manager in daily operations. Assist staff and volunteer dentists and hygienists in chairside procedures, and perform clerical functions including ordering supplies, patient registration, appointment scheduling, and data entry.

• Assist in chairside procedures, prepare treatment rooms, take dental radiographs, and handle sterilization following OSHA guidelines.
• Register and schedule patient appointments, communicate with patients, and manage patient data using clinic software.
• Perform clerical duties, order supplies, process payments, and handle patient discharge summaries.
• Support the School Oral Health Program by managing student paperwork and scheduling.
• Train non-licensed volunteers and assist with patient sedation post-education.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care, adhering to hospital standards and policies.

What you will need:

• Bilingual in Spanish
• High school diploma
• Minimum one year chairside dental assisting experience, familiarity with dental software, instrumentation, sterilization, and infection control
• Valid Illinois driver's license and access to a vehicle for multiple locations
