Partnership Community Health Center, Inc. is expanding its dental team in Appleton, WI, seeking dedicated Dental Assistants to provide compassionate care and support to patients.

We offer a non-profit environment with a broad benefits package and opportunities for cross-training within the clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists, manage patient intake, and help ensure safe, efficient, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program and/or equivalent training and experience.
• Able to earn and maintain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health histories for review by the dentist and document oral examinations.
• Receive and prepare patients for treatment including taking and incorporating digital x-rays into the software, seating patients, assisting with positioning and safety devices.
• Perform coronal polishing and fluoride application and provide post-treatment instructions.
• Follow safety practices including PPE, hazardous materials handling, sharps handling, curing light exposure, and MSDS/OSHA knowledge.
• Attend relevant dental unit or PCHC staff meetings.
• Prepare and post-clean dental operatories, including disinfection of surfaces.
• Cross-train to Patient Services duties such as insurance verification, check-in, and appointment confirmation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

1. Obtain health histories for review by the dentist and document oral examinations in Dentrix.

2. Receive and prepare patients for treatment including taking and incorporating digital x‑rays into software program, seating, chair positioning, napkin placement, provide patient safety devices.

3. Perform coronal polishing and fluoride application, and provide patient instructions pre‑and postoperative.

4. Follow all safety engineering practices, including use of lead aprons, PPE hazardous and infectious product handling, sharps handling, curing light exposure, and MSDS/OSHA knowledge and understanding.

5. Attend staff meetings of the dental unit and/or PCHC meetings that have relevance to dental staff.

6. Follow accepted dental procedures in the preparing and post‑treatment cleanup of dental equipment and operatories, including hard surface disinfection.

7. Cross‑train to Patient Services duties, including but not limited to, verification of insurance, patient check in, and appointment confirmation.

8. Maintain strict confidentiality.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.
