AltaMed Health Services Corp. in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care at the clinic or mobile unit.

You will handle sterilization, instrument preparation, inventory control, and infection control while assisting with patient intake and prep. A high school diploma and relevant certifications are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act required.
• Accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Coronal Polishing Certification and X-Ray certification required.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
• CA Driver's License if assigned to Mobile Units.
• DOJ/FBI background clearance within 30 days if Mobile Units.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist and dental hygienist in primary care.
• Sterilize, prepare and inventory dental instruments and supplies.
• Maintain infection control in all patient care areas.
• Support mobile unit operations as assigned.
• Help with patient prep and charting as needed.
