Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Denials & Appeals Coordinator to drive denial prevention and coordinate with utilization management and CAAT. You will monitor concurrent reviews for continued stay authorizations, track trends, and ensure timely follow-up while partnering with case management, the Centralized Business Office, and leadership to move actions into measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Act as CAAT subject matter expert on denial prevention and coordination.
• Gather clinical information from medical records and prepare documentation.
• Monitor denial-related documentation and ensure timely submission.
• Coordinate peer-to-peer physician consults and liaise with case management.
• Track insurance denials and identify trends to drive improvements.
• Communicate authorization outcomes to hospital and the Centralized Business Office.
• Support analytics and reporting on denial trends and opportunities.
