Unipec America Inc is seeking a Demurrage Coordinator in Houston, TX to support the demurrage team. This contractor position (up to 12 months) involves data entry, processing claims, and coordinating payment instructions with operations and counterparties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime, Logistics, or related field.
• 0-3 years of demurrage settlements, claims, or demurrage experience is a plus.
• Experience with counterparties is preferred.
• Bilingual Mandarin Chinese and English is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Ability to quickly learn the company's ERP.
• Proactive and self-starter; work accurately with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review demurrage claims.
• Record and process all claims through our internal accounting process.
• Prepare and communicate payment instruction documentation to operations and counterparties.
• Scan, send, and file documents per accounting and compliance procedures.
• Report status of demurrage claims to operations and trading teams.
• Daily review and reconciliation of information in multiple systems and worksheets for transaction accuracy.
• Verify approvals of contracts before uploading into the online system.
• Other duties as required.
