Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of demurrage analysis or operations experience.
• Some experience with charter party agreements and terms.
• Maritime shipping knowledge strongly preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong data analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Audit and analyze demurrage data to support the trading organization.
• Negotiate demurrage claims with ship/barge owners and third parties.
• Invoice third parties in accordance with charter party terms.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients.
• Communicate with traders and Risk Department on status of negotiations.
• Collaborate with Finance on demurrage payables and receivables.
• Review contracts for lay-time and demurrage adjustments and assess risks.
• Identify demurrage trends to minimize future risks.
