Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. seeks a Demolition Superintendent to join our Demolition & Blasting team at either Rogers, MN or New Berlin, WI, with travel across the Midwest. You will manage daily site activities, ensure safety, budget, and schedule compliance, and lead project staff on each site.

Responsibilities include coordinating with General Superintendents, scheduling subcontractors, maintaining records, and enforcing Veit's safety standards while upholding quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years' Heavy Industrial Demolition experience.
• OSHA 30 hour, HAZWOPER certificate, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, iPad and iPhone.
• Ability to communicate and schedule project needs appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Daily communication with General Superintendents regarding job specific needs including workforce and equipment requirements.
• Daily contact with job site crews to ensure project time schedule and workforce needs are being met.
• Schedules subcontractors to complete work as needed and monitors performance per subcontractor agreements.
• Maintains safe working environment and enforces safety policies and training.
• Prepares and participates in regular job site meetings and reports safety issues.
