Job summary

democracyFIRST Field Organizer is a field operations role in Michigan with on-site positions in Grand Rapids, Marshall, and Paw Paw. The organizer will engage voters, meet field metrics, and support down-ballot organizing to defend election administration during the 2026 cycle.

Start ASAP; end date November 3, 2026. Requires weekend/evening work, transportation access, and use of campaign tech tools. Reports to the Regional Organizing Director and coordinates with local campaign offices.

Qualifications

• At least 1 election cycle or 1 year of organizing experience on campaigns, in community groups, or in customer service.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; can juggle multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexible, adaptable, and solutions-oriented; can meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to work independently based on a strategic field plan.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Available to work weekends and evenings during initial phases, GOTV period.
