Job summary

Stonewall Kitchen is seeking a friendly Demo Kitchen Associate at our York, Maine store to bring products to life through cooking demonstrations, samples, and outstanding guest service.

You will prepare recipes, engage guests with ideas and tips, and help turn tastings into sales while keeping the kitchen station clean, organized, and in line with safety and merchandising guidelines. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe Certification is a plus.
• Flex schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Previous retail, sales, food service, or demonstration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recipes and product samples for guests during daily cooking demonstrations.
• Engage with guests while cooking, sharing recipe ideas, preparation tips, product information, and serving suggestions.
• Help drive product sales by creating an inviting and engaging demo experience.
• Plan grocery needs and shop for fresh ingredients needed for daily demonstrations.
• Monitor ingredient and product costs to support profitable demonstrations.
• Follow ServSafe practices and all food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain an adequate supply of recipe cards and other demo materials.
• Create attractive displays of products featured in or supporting the daily demonstration.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure featured products available for guests to purchase.
• Keep the Demo Kitchen clean, organized, welcoming, and consistent with Visual Merchandising Guidelines.
• Ensure kitchen tools, utensils, equipment, and appliances are clean, organized, and brand appropriate.
• Assist guests on the sales floor and at the registers as needed.
• Support store events, promotions, and special sales activities.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Attend occasional meetings or training sessions outside of the regular work schedule as needed.
