Job summary

Stonewall Kitchen in York, ME is seeking a production assistant to support Cooks with cooking and processing of product, prepare raw materials, and set up kettles for filling. You will weigh and transfer ingredients and help meet daily production schedules.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, basic math, and the ability to operate pallet jacks and a forklift. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus, with a strong emphasis on safety and GMP practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at shoulder height and stand for several hours.
• Previous manufacturing experience, especially in the food industry, is a plus.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklift.
• Basic math skills are required; weights and measures knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cooks with cooking and processing of product according to company standards.
• Weigh, open, measure, transfer and prepare ingredients for Cooks.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area throughout the shift and at shift end.
• Cross-train to work on manufacturing line and York warehouse as needed.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, SOP policies and safety procedures.
