Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking compassionate caregivers to support memory care clients at home. You will help seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia, ensuring safety, engagement, and dignity in a familiar home setting.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, dementia-specific training, and a caring, patient heart. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required; background checks will be completed. CNA/HHA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year caregiving experience.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s/Dementia care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Home Care Aide Registration (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Specialized Memory Care: Provide cognitive stimulation, implement routines, and ensure a safe environment (wandering prevention).
• Personal Care: Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Companionship: Build meaningful relationships through conversation, activities, and emotional support.
• Daily Assistance: Meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders.
• Transportation: Assist with errands and getting to medical appointments.

• CNA/HHA (Preferred, but not required)

• Home Care Aide Registration (Or Willing to obtain one upon hire)

• Negative TB Test (Valid within 90 days or 7 days after hire)
