Allina Health Brain and Spine Institute seeks a Neurologist with fellowship training in Dementia or related areas to join Abbott Northwestern Hospital, a quaternary care hub within Allina Health. You will collaborate with neurologists, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation specialists, geriatricians, and social workers in a comprehensive dementia program.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
• BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
• Fellowship training in Dementia, Geriatric Neurology, Cognitive Neurology, Cognitive-Behavioral Neurology OR strong interest in Dementia required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, treats and consults patients with impaired memory function or other neurocognitive disease.
• Examines mental and physical status; conducts tests and scans and interprets results.
• Evaluates and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
• Provides education, consultation or intervention to patients and families; collaborates with multidisciplinary team.
• Engages in research activities and maintains medical records per licensure; participates in quality improvement.
