Job summary

LE0024 Transforming Age Associates, LLC in Camarillo, CA seeks a Resident Assistant/Caregiver to provide personal care and dementia‑focused support according to resident needs and care plans. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, and activity escorts, while documenting care and monitoring overall wellbeing.

This position offers a pay range of $18.58–$20.06 per hour DOE, with competitive benefits and opportunities to contribute to a compassionate aging program.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• 6+ months in long‑term care or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year experience working with seniors or CNA preferred.
• Knowledge of older adults, aging process and dementia care.
• Working knowledge of computers and typing sufficient for Point of Care systems.
• Effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Current First Aid Training and Certifications (per CA Title 22 regulations).
• Background check, drug screen and other pre‑employment screenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom assistance, light housekeeping, and group and individual activities.
• Provide meal and activity escort assistance, including walking, wheelchair, or walker support.
• Document care through electronic charting and communicate resident status via computerized system.
• Communicate with residents, respond to their needs, and monitor their overall condition.
• Assist with hair care, oral hygiene, skin care, general grooming and toileting in a caring manner.
• Monitor nourishment, assist with meal set‑up and between‑meal snacks, and observe/document any changes in physical or behavioral condition.
• Maintain and ensure resident living areas and furnishings are clean and orderly, including changing beds and managing laundry.
• Report equipment or supply needs, ensure proper care of equipment, and document supplies used.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
