Job summary

Williamsburg Landing Inc. seeks an Activities Coordinator to lead the Namaste Care Community for residents with dementia. The role collaborates with the Resident Engagement Manager and Namaste Team to plan, direct, and oversee engaging activities designed to support emotional and social well-being.

The position emphasizes teamwork, compassionate care, and tailoring programs to late-stage dementia. Namaste training and ongoing professional development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in dementia care for seniors.
• Must complete Namaste Training and obtain Certified Dementia Practitioner within six months of employment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with other staff.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans, and implements a diversified activity program for residents with dementia.
• Provides multisensory engagements tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborates with Namaste staff, Social Workers and Culinary Services to ensure programming.
• Documents assessments, care plans and attendance for residents.
• Develops monthly activity calendars and facilitates programs with staff, family and volunteers.
• Organizes Namaste activity spaces and materials for daily engagements.
• Schedules and maintains records for volunteers and outside services.
• Adheres to Williamsburg Landing policies and participates in continuous quality improvement.
