Job summary

BSH Home Appliances Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking a Demand Planner II to coordinate forecasting, bottom-up and top-down planning, and inventory management across our central and regional distribution network.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, and production to adjust forecasts, schedule production, create purchase orders, monitor service levels, and drive process improvements. This is a full-time on-site role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience required.
• 3-5 years of professional business experience required.
• Language skills: English (German helpful).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Prior SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a team of Demand Planners responsible for sales forecasting, allocation, and inventory management across the distribution network.
• Forecast analysis with Sales and Product Marketing to adjust for trends and promotions.
• Regulate short-term factory production based on forecasts and deviations.
• Schedule production with factories and expedite parts when needed.

Demand Planner II

Irvine, CA / Full-time

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for coordination with a team of Demand Planners who are responsible for sales forecasting, bottom up and top down, collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment with key customers, forecast error, finished goods production planning, deployment and control of inventory management throughout our central and regional distribution network. This person ensures our finished goods inventory levels remain within business plan targets as well meeting or exceeding key SCM metrics such as customer order fulfillment rates.
• Forecasting: Analyze historical sales figures; work closely with Sales and Product Marketing to determine fluctuations in sales and promotional activity; make necessary adjustments as needed based on current sales trends.
• Regulate short-term factory production based on sales forecast; make adjustments based on any deviation or fluctuation in sales (i.e. independent requirements management).
• Coordinate with factory on scheduling and prioritizing production, expediting parts if needed, and increasing the production capacity when necessary.
• Create purchase orders to outside suppliers; monitors their production and shipping fulfillments.
• Adhere to a 92% customer order/delivery fulfillment rate; monitor incoming goods and oversee allocation to the customer
• Create and maintain daily and weekly reports (sales, back order, inventory availability, etc.) and situational reports to aid colleagues from factories, Sales and Product Marketing.
• Meet the expectations of major functional departments such as:
• Production: Smooth production planning via weekly production meetings
• Sales: High delivery fulfillment
• Supply Network Planning: Accuracy of forecast at each RDC for inventory deployment; ensure production plans are
• Product Marketing: Monthly forecast alignment; successful product phase in/out planning
• Controlling: Provide monthly invoice forecasts; ensure forecast is within an acceptable tolerance to business plan
• Sales Support: Effectively communicate product availability dates
• Logistics: Transmission of RDC inventory requirements via the forecast signal
• Responsible for the performance of the operational bottom up sales forecast at a SKU and regional distribution center level
• Track and maintain phase in and phase out activities
• Assists in the management of safety stock parameters for all regional distribution centers
• Effectively absorbs job activities of other Demand Planners to cover vacations, sick days, leave of absence, etc.
• Create/initiate business analytics and proposals/recommendations to various teams
• Drives process improvements
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or Related Fields) – Required
• 3-5 Years of Supply Chain Experience - Required
• 3-5 Years of Experience (Professional Business) – Required
• Language skills: English (knowledge of German helpful)
• Mathematical skills: college level
• Reasoning Ability: ability to make decisions, control and influence large groups of people including top management
• Prior SAP experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• As required – average domestic travel ranges from 3-6 trips a year, possible yearly international travel
• High proficiency in Excel

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based onyourspecific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
