Summary:
Demand Planner takes a more strategic role in demand planning by analyzing data trends, improving forecast accuracy, and leading cross‑functional collaboration efforts. This role drives initiatives to optimize inventory and enhance supply‑demand alignment.
Essential Functions & Time Allocation:
- Lead supply and demand monitoring across multiple markets – Identify misalignments, adjust forecasts, and drive demand planning decisions.
- Develop statistical forecasting models – Evaluate forecast results and recommend improvements.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, reduce excess inventory, and improve service levels.
- Lead S&OP planning with assigned markets – Ensure alignment between demand forecasts and business goals.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot MRP accuracy – Ensure demand signals are correctly captured.
- Draft and implement new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and address systemic quality, service, and delivery issues – Implement corrective action plans.
- Provide mentorship and support to Level I Demand Planners.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong statistical and analytical skills with experience in forecasting tools.
- Proficiency in demand planning software, ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and drive initiatives.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
