Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to support the Manufacturing and Test teams. You will scan, organize, and index documents, maintain SharePoint folders, and help assemble production document books.

You will also assist with SAP-based planning tasks, update reports, and maintain shared Excel workbooks, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of information across departments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in document control and records management.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred.
• Strong MS Excel skills for data handling and reporting.
• Experience in production planning or scheduling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scan, upload, and organize documentation from Manufacturing and Test teams.
• Support Document Control in assembling and preparing manufacturing document books.
• Ensure documents are indexed, stored, and compliant with filing standards.
• Perform miscellaneous document control tasks (labeling, filing, tracking status, SharePoint maintenance).
• Communicate with Manufacturing and Test teams to ensure timely document processing.
• Assist with updating standard production and planning reports.
• Support planners with basic scheduling tasks in SAP.
• Maintain shared Excel workbooks with data from emails, meetings, SharePoint, and other systems.
• Enter data into planning/management reporting systems (e.g., Team Guru).

Job Responsibilities:

• Scan, upload, and organize documentation returned from Manufacturing and Test teams.
• Support the Document Control team in assembling and preparing manufacturing document books.
• Ensure documents are accurately indexed, properly stored, and compliant with internal filing standards.
• Perform miscellaneous Document Control tasks as needed (e.g., labeling, filing, tracking document status, maintaining SharePoint folders).
• Communicate with Manufacturing and Test teams to ensure timely return and processing of required documents.
• Assist with updating standard production and planning reports.
• Support planners with basic scheduling tasks such as reviewing order status or releasing production orders in SAP.
• Maintain shared Excel workbooks with information gathered from emails, meetings, SharePoint, and other systems.
• Enter data into systems used for planning metrics or management reporting, such as Team Guru.

Education/Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
