Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Pomona, CA is seeking a Professional Demand Buyer to manage material and inventory planning for a make-to-order power distribution equipment facility. You will coordinate SAP-based MRP, supplier performance, and production schedules to meet customer demand cost-effectively and on time.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in purchasing/procurement with MRP, strong SAP/Excel skills, and a BS/BA in a related field.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of purchasing and/or procurement experience with MRP system in manufacturing environment.
• Experience in fast-paced business.
• BS/BA/BSE in related discipline, or advanced degree or Equivalent Experience
• Advanced hands-on knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and balance supply and demand with suppliers and manufacturing.
• Ensure clear and robust delivery, performance from suppliers.
• Works closely with planning, manufacturing, and procurement to plan and prioritize supply to fulfill customer requirements on time and ensure maximum performance.
• Manages MRP via SAP, monitor requisitions and place Purchase Orders with internal and external suppliers.
• Reviews SAP master data including, but not limited to, minimum order quantities, safety stocks, lead times, purchasing info records, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring the production schedule at supplier matches with factory demands.
• Work with receiving team to resolve discrepancies.
• Work engineering and customer service for special demand request
