Job summary

ABB in North Mississippi is seeking a Planning & Fulfillment Leader to own the end-to-end forecast and planning process, aligning demand signals, production capacity, and supply chain execution to ensure on-time delivery and optimized inventory.

You will lead a team of planners, drive continuous improvement, and partner with Finance on E&O provisions within a high-volume manufacturing environment, leveraging SAP, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred.
• 5+ years in demand forecasting, production planning, or supply chain management.
• 3+ years leading planning teams in manufacturing.
• Proven track record in S&OP/SIOP processes.
• Strong SAP proficiency and advanced Excel; Power BI or similar analytics tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end forecast and planning process to align demand, capacity, and supply chain execution.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and target service levels.
• Analyze planning metrics like DIH, on-time delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy, and resource utilization.
• Identify root causes of performance gaps and drive improvement initiatives.
• Develop demand forecasts using statistical models and customer data.
• Monitor inventory levels (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and manage working capital.
• Define, track, and report planning KPIs: forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, schedule adherence.
• Lead and develop a team of planners and foster data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate with Finance on E&O provision management and mitigation.

Your role and responsibilities

Reporting to the Planning & fulfillment manager, you will own the end-to-end forecast and operational planning process - driving alignment between demand signals, production capacity, and supply chain execution to ensure on-time delivery, optimized inventory, and revenue realization. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring adherence to inventory targets and supply plan optimization.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in the Smart Power Division located in North Mississippi/Memphis area.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Maintaining the right inventory levels, optimizing them according to the company's targets while ensuring high customer service level.
• Performing standard and ad hoc detailed analyses of planning and fulfillment metrics, including Days Inventory on Hand (DIH), on-time delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy, and resource utilization.
• Identifying key root causes for non-performance and drives improvement initiatives across businesses.
• Develop and maintaindemand forecastsusing statistical models, market intelligence, and customer data
• Monitor and manageinventory levels(raw material, WIP, finished goods) to balance service levels and working capital targets
• Define, track, and report on planningKPIs: forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, schedule adherence
• Lead and develop a team of planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making
• Responsible for partnering with Finance on E&O provision management and mitigation processes

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field. APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred
• 5+ years in demand forecasting, production planning, or supply chain management
• 3+ years managing planning teams in a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record leading or co-leading S&OP/SIOP processes
• Strong SAP proficiency; advanced Excel; Power BI or similar analytics tools a plus
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business decisions for senior leadership
• Comfortable operating in afast-paced, high-stakesmanufacturing environment
• Strong influencing skills - able to align Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain around a single plan
• Experience withERP implementations or SAP upgrades
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification is a plus
• Experience planning in a high-volume, high-revenue manufacturing environment ($50M+/month preferred)

• While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $100,500 and $160,800 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
