Job summary

Amgen Rhode Island is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join the Automation Engineering team. You will support complex process automation initiatives, lead project efforts, and provide daily operational support to the automation systems group at the Rhode Island site.

The role requires strong experience in process automation, DeltaV, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, QA, and validation teams.

Qualifications

HS/GED with automation/engineering experience.
Associate’s degree with 6+ years in automation/engineering.
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in automation/engineering.
Master’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to commercial manufacturing focusing on process control and automation infrastructure.
Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, utility operations, maintenance, QA and validation on a portfolio of projects.
Lead RCA, incident investigations, and troubleshooting on DeltaV-based control systems.
Support new product introductions or technology transfers by performing assessments and supporting runs.
Develop, organize, analyze and present results for operational issues and engineering projects of small scope and complexity.
Assist with capital project design reviews, commissioning and qualification.
Provide 24x7 on-call support for automation systems on a rotational basis.
