Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced DeltaV Technical Lead to own the end-to-end delivery of a complex DeltaV Batch automation project. This hands-on leadership role directs detail design, leads 3–8 engineers through build, FAT, SAT, and commissioning, and provides expert post-go-live support.

The successful candidate serves as the primary DeltaV authority interfacing with client operations, engineering, and QA/regulatory teams throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial process automation with hands-on DeltaV engineering.
• Delivery of DeltaV Batch projects from design through commissioning.
• Deep knowledge of ISA-88 (S88) batch standard and procedural models.
• DeltaV equipment phase development and phase parameter design.
• Proficiency in DeltaV Recipe Studio: master recipes and parameters.
• Experience with DeltaV system architecture: controller sizing & network topology.
• Solid understanding of PID, interlocks, alarms, and cause & effect.
• Proven experience leading FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities for DeltaV systems.
• Experience producing and reviewing FDS, Control Narratives, and test docs.
• Strong change-management and configuration-control discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end DeltaV project delivery across design, build, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and go-live.
• Define system architecture, topology, and hardware sizing for DeltaV.
• Develop batch strategy per ISA-88 including S88 hierarchy and recipe design.
• Author and review FDS, Control Narratives, and test documentation.
• Lead a DeltaV configuration team and manage a master recipe library.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and client stakeholders for interfaces.
