Job summary
Dyno Nobel, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Technician to monitor and maintain DeltaV control systems across our industrial operations. You will perform firmware updates, OS upgrades, and security patches, while supporting legacy systems and planned upgrades.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in industrial automation, experience with DeltaV or ControlLogix, and strong knowledge of DCS, HMI, SQL Server, and industrial networking. Team oriented, safety minded, and detail focused.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or control systems.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical plant environments.
- Experience supporting DCS or PLC systems.
- Experience with DeltaV or Rockwell ControlLogix.
Responsibilities
- Perform firmware updates and lifecycle management for DeltaV hardware.
- Support legacy system maintenance and upgrade planning.
- Perform OS upgrades, service packs, patches, and virus protection updates.
- Maintain network security and user management for control systems.
- Configure and maintain alarm attributes and logging systems.
- Develop and maintain control loop functional specifications.
- Monitor and improve control loop performance using diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with E&I technicians to optimize preventive maintenance.
- Use monitoring tools to reduce unplanned downtime.
