Job summary

Amgen in North Carolina seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer: Automation to design, implement, and maintain DeltaV-based control systems for new drug substance manufacturing. You will partner with capital projects and the F&E Automation team to deliver robust process automation aligned with Amgen's standards.

You will lead commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement activities, ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and related GMP requirements while supporting day-to-day operations

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or automation.
• Experience with GMP biopharmaceutical production facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the DeltaV DCS process control system.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into automation solutions.
• Provide documentation for delivered automation solutions and validation.
• Support QA in computerized systems validation (GxP).
• Develop and maintain engineering and maintenance documentation.
