Summit Electric Supply in Texas is hiring a full-time delivery driver/warehouse associate to ensure on-time deliveries and safe loading of goods. You will pick materials, load trailers, verify quantities, and communicate with the supervisor to receive delivery instructions.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass a DOT physical, and at least six months of related experience. PIT proficiency and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds are preferred; HS diploma or equivalent is

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Crawford requirements)
• Ability to obtain and pass a DOT physical
• Six months or more related experience and/or training
• High school diploma or equivalent
• PIT proficiency; reach truck, order picker; current certification a plus
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Responsibilities

• Ensures good customer relations through on time deliveries and courteous conduct
• Transport and delivery of goods in a timely manner
• Pick material for orders, load material, and manifest ship tickets
• Properly and safely secure loads and ensure loads are within vehicle weight
• Verify count and condition of freight
• Make reports of overages, shortages and damages as needed
• Collects payments for goods delivered and delivery charges
• Maintains radio contact with manager for delivery instructions
• Operate company vehicle in a Safe manner per DOT standards
• Maintain truck logs per state and federal regulations
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies and keep vehicle clean
