Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a delivery assistant who will help delivery drivers with customer orders, loading and unloading products, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. This role does not involve operating company or rental vehicles.

The position requires strong customer service skills and basic warehouse experience, with HS diploma or GED preferred and 0-2 years of related experience. Eligible for company benefits and diverse work environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading merchandise.
• Inspect deliveries prior to loading to ensure accuracy and no damage.
• Load and unload using powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
• Make and receive customer calls before and during delivery.
• Interface with customers regarding orders and provide proof of delivery.
• Relay escalated customer concerns to distribution center leadership.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
