Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Design Engineer to join our North America LastMile Design Team in Austin, TX. You will drive delivery station layouts, optimize material flow, conveyors, and building design to support safety, quality and cost goals across the NA network.

Travel up to 25% and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to translate workflow needs into practical designs for scalable, high‑quality stations that meet ambitious delivery targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial, operations, manufacturing, or project engineering experience
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related discipline

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, review, and release new delivery station layouts and capacity improvements
• Provide engineering design expertise including material flow, labor placement, conveyors, equipment, and building/site layout components
• Lead expansion and retrofit initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and station capacity
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement design standards and ensure design quality
• Facilitate design reviews and share best practices across teams
